Strength in Diversity
From Encyclopedia Superheroica -the Encyclopedia of Superheroes
Diversity starts with perspective and, for our purposes (Superman, USA, 1938), we're talking about an Establishment consisting most generally of conservative Caucasians in the English speaking Western world. There was not much diversity during the early days of superheroes in various media. There have, however, been many attempts to expand the ranks of superheroes to reflect almost every facet of the worlds in which they live. While the Pantheons include some of the more obvious attempts, here are some more.
