Origin
The person known to us as the Green Lantern is actually a co-guardian of Sector 2814 on behalf of an intersellar police organization. The Green Lantern Corps has empowered each of it's 3600 members to fight evil everywhere. Earth's first Green Lantern was Alan Scott. The current Green Lantern is Hal Jordan, but there have been a number of reservists and backups including Guy Gardner, Kyle Rayner, and John Stewart.
Powers
