Origin and Powers
Seeing his parents murdered by a common criminal had a profound effect on young Bruce Wayne. He has since spent his life avenging their deaths and dispensing his own unique brand of street justice. Inspired by the frightening spectre of bats in flight, he uses fear as a weapon.
In his specialized utility belt, Batman has a number of other weapons and gadgets at his disposal. While possessed of no actual superpowers, Batman is an expert in the martial arts. He is also known as the world's greatest detective.
