Where there is misery, he is there.
Where there is injustice, he is there.
Where there is oppression, he is there.
He is... the Cricket.

The Cricket's athleticism and his service to Central Florida earned him a try-out at Tropicana Field (home of the Major League Tampa Bay Rays), but he never actually joined the team.

Story

Origins

The first reports regarding the Cricket began to arise in the late 1980's on the campus of Indiana University (where, it's rumored, he first met brother-in-arms Keeferman). Otherwise indistinguishable from his fellow students, this exchange student with strikingly-exotic features was the personification of the Middle East to untold thousands of wide-eyed Midwesterners. His misadventures were infamous and sightings persisted for several years even after he'd graduated and left Bloomington behind.

History

From the Disintegration of the Soviet Union in the Winter of 1991, through a 1995 Defense of Sarajevo, to the Arab Spring of 2011, Cricket has been at the forefront of democratization for a generation.

Cricket, the superhero, is shown in a 2005 photo introducing cricket, the sport, to the POTUS. When asked how the President did, the Cricket politely suggested: "I understand he's an excellent golfer."

Now enjoying semi-retirement, he teams up primarily with U.S.Mantis and the Ladybug whenever called-upon by world events. It's also been rumored that he might once have been associated with Imran Khan and Commander Safeguard back in the old days.
