Very few superheroes are independently wealthy. Some are fortunate enough to get regular government work to supplement their income. Most of the rest have to take on the occasional corporate commission. That sometimes takes the form of a superhero celebrity endorsement of a mundane product.

There are also those who manufacture merchandise for superheroes.
