Origin
Peter Parker was just another misfit at school. A radioactive, genetically-enhanced spider bit him and he transformed into the amazing Spider-Man.
History
On his way to complete orphandom after his uncle died, Peter Parker continued to care for his elderly Aunt. This near-isolation allowed him ample opportunity to sneak off and fight crime.
Costume
At one point (in the comics, not the movies) Spider-Man was kidnapped by an alien, given a new costume, and returned to Earth. Eventually it was discovered that there was more to the suit than just . A new supervillain emerged, but Spider-Man freed himself of the new look and returned to his classic red, blue, and black uniform.
Spider-Man a new technologically advanced costume with a red and gold color scheme as a gift.
He resumed wearing his black cloth costume, reflective of the dark times while his Aunt May was precariously close to death.
