Usage in Popular Culture
The interrobang is a single punctuation meant to take the place of two others. It is used in sentences that would normally end in both a question mark and an exclamation point. This includes sarcasm as well as incredulation. Most people are not even sure how to call it up in a document or webpage, but there are actually a number of ways to do it, including:
- via Wingdings 2 font: the }] key.
- HTML: & # 8 2 5 3 ; (spaces had to be added for demonstration purposes)
- Unicode: U+203D
- most people just copy & paste it from elsewhere.
