Swamp Thing is the personification of plant life on planet Earth.

It is a thing from the swamp.

Origin and Powers

Swamp Thing has had various incarnations, but at it's essence it is the soul of a man... in the body of a plant... empowered by all the vegetation on the planet. He is an elemental. As an environmental advocate and protector, it has often been his duty to consider Man to be his villainous enemy.

Some swamp people drink moonshine.	Clyde is a swamp person.	Drunk guys often have bad ideas.	Clyde has a victim (and an accomplice).
They also have a witness.	Swamp Thing intercedes.	Swamp Thing punches the moonshine out of the dobadders.	Clyde tries to find his teeth.

Swamp Thing possesses supernatural strength, regeneration, the ability to control plants, and can effectively teleport to any place on Earth by transfering his consciousness to another botanical organism.
