Spud

The Spud (a.k.a. "Kid Khartoshka") is a starchy, tuberous boy from a perennial family in the American South. He's also a superpowered member of the Junior @lantans, fighting crime the only way he knows how. (Sometimes that's a little bit more than the law will allow.)

Origin
Little Matty Proudmore was never a quiet boy -always chittering to himself as a baby and, later, chattering to anyone who would listen. Then one day he strapped on a potato sack, slung a blanket cape over his back, and a hero was born.
History
Not much is known about the Spud at this early point in his crimefighting career, but no doubt he'll have many a tale to tell in the near future.
Abilities
The Spud's primary weapon is a plastic digging spade, but he rarely has cause to use it. Most of his powers and strategies are defensive in nature.
Powers
He has the ability to spontaneously generate fiberous spikes from his skin. These can be Tests of blood and tissue samples have established that the Spud contains large amounts of the toxic alkaloid solanine and is therefore unsuitable for consumption.

Known Associates
Obviously a toddler like the Spud, mature for his years though he be, must have parents who take care of him. They do not seem to get out much though as no adventures have been found to feature them (yet). The Jake has, however, been seen holding hands with the superheroine Joanderwoman -who seems to be a family relation and watchful guardian over the boy. It's recently been discovered that the Jake is the older brother of the Spud. He has also been associated with the Electriplets.
