There are many other motivations for superheroism besides just arch-villainy. There are runaway trains and collapsing buildings. There are natural disasters and technological nightmares. There are space invaders and rampaging micro-organisms. There are even common criminals -almost wholly unremarkable except for their willingness to break the law.
