History

Buddy Saunders, began collecting comics in 1960 while he was still in Jr. High. His dealing comics helped him through college and supplemented his income thereafter. His mail-order service became a retail outlet and eventually (1997) an internet entity. Today "Lone Star Comics" has seven locations (in Texas of course) and a website that boasts of being "the web's best place to buy, sell, and trade comic books".

Mission

"Our dedication to providing superior service has made Lone Star Comics the largest comics retail chain in Texas and one of the largest in the nation. And it is that same determination to offer the best that has established Lone Star's mycomicshop.com as the largest comics retailer on the internet."
