His mail-order service became a retail outlet and eventually (1997) an internet entity. Today "Lone Star Comics" has seven locations (in Texas of course) and a website that boasts of being "the web's best place to buy, sell, and trade comic books".

Comic Book Resources was conceived in 1995 by Jonah Weiland, born in 1996, and has since won (or been nominated for) several awards as a fan favorite.
