When you can move objects with your hands, it's called manipulation. When you can move objects with your mind, it's called telekinesis. Energy projection though is the act of sending beams or waves of power from your body toward another object. Guns are usually considered separate devices (as opposed to an inherent power), but special gloves or armor are usually accepted as personal energy projection. Here are just some of the many superheroes with that ability.
