Story
From off the streets of Cleveland came Harvey Pekar. He chronicled his own real-life herculean efforts in the comic (and movie) American Splendor. He labored through the bureaucracy of the Veterans Administration for a generation. He battled David Letterman and he battled cancer. Harvey Pekar is the ultimate everyman.
